Mr Sam, he is an indigenous khmer from Cambodia. He is a tuk tuk driver. What is Tuk tuk? Tuk tuk is an urban transport in Cambodia, you can also find it in another country Indochina like Vietnam, Laos. Tuk tuk in Cambodia is a motorcycle with a cabin attached to the rear. This arrangement can carry 4 people at ease, with their luggage in the leg space. There is the front end of a motorcycle consisting of steering, tank and engine with a covered tray mounted at the back. The power is transferred by chain to an axle mounted to the modified rear fork which drives the two rear wheels. Suspended upon the rear fork is an open cabin with an in-line seat on each side.
Mr Sam, 33 years old. One of many tuk tuk driver in Phnom Penh. You can find him at Sunway Hotel in St 92 near Wat Phnom. His tuk tuk in black colour with 3 stripes like some sports apparael brand from Germany Adidas. Yes right, Adidas contract him 10USD every month and his tuk tuk colored by Adidas company. So in the right, left and also in the back side his tuk tuk, there is Adidas symbol attached, his name ( SAM ) and his number ( number 01 ). And in the white chairs with 3 black stripes. How about his clothes? His polo shirt and his cap also suported by Adidas.
So, not only lionel messi sponsoired by Adidas. But also tuk tuk driver in Pnomp Penh like Mr sam sponsored also by Adidas. haha
On Saturday March 24th, 2012. I visited Phnom Penh and I used Mr sam tuk tuk to around Phnom Penh city. He offered rates 25USD to one day city tour. But not to worry, you can bargained it. In my city trip I bid for 15USD to around city and just visited Killing fields and Silver pagoda. He agreed with this rates. So, he bring me to around Phnom Penh City.
Just sit down in his tuk tuk and enjoy your trip :)
